When reading, I "heard" the struggles Nancy experienced within her church and along the path of her spiritual growth and maturity. I believe Nancy hopes to clarify struggles others may be experiencing. She clearly brings out that it is OK to experience conflict within a church. Anything that can clarify our Christian beliefs and foster our growth as mature Christians is so appreciated. Nancy does foster this within the pages of the book as she offers support and perhaps a path to follow as we expand our Christian life.Nancy L W

A great book for someone seeking a religious "home"
After reading this book I've felt more confident in my spiritual beliefs. I've enjoyed thinking through ideas and questions contained throughout the text. This well written book would invoke some great discussion in a Bible or religious study group.

Ms. Wecker writes eloquently of the pain and scarring that can come from being inside a church environment. Her book shows that you can come out the other side and separate love and honor for God from petty people with personal agendas. There are good churches out there!!. Many of us have been there and this book strikes a chord.. The book is well researched and heart felt.
